Net Zero Expeditions operates marine wildlife expeditions from San Diego, where visitors board small boats to search for whales, dolphins, and pelagic species in the Pacific Ocean. The company offers three main expedition types: Whale and Dolphin Watching expeditions lasting 2.5 to 3 hours that search for marine life just beyond the coast; Offshore Whale Expeditions running 4 to 5 hours that venture farther into open water seeking exotic whale species and unexpected wildlife encounters; and a Two-Day Blue Whale Expedition designed around summer ocean conditions when blue whales congregate to feed on krill blooms. Each expedition carries a maximum of four to six guests and includes a marine biologist on board. The team consists of USCG-licensed captains, marine scientists, behavioral ecologists, and safety divers with backgrounds spanning Scripps Institution of Oceanography, BBC Natural History Unit, and National Geographic.
