Motte's Romola Farms in Romoland preserves the agricultural and automotive heritage of one of the Perris Valley's oldest pioneer families. The Motte Historical Museum showcases the region's farming history through exhibits documenting the family's operations, which once spread across Perris, Romoland, Nuevo, and Lakeview and concentrated on crops including potatoes, onions, and grains. Visitors explore the museum's antique car collection, which features restored vehicles from the Motte Brothers' private collection, including a 1926 Chevrolet Touring that was purchased in 1951 and restored in the late 1970s. The Barn houses displays highlighting the valley's pioneer families and their contributions to the region's development. The museum operates as a nonprofit educational institution founded through the estate of John and Evelyn Motte to preserve local history and encourage community understanding of the area's agricultural roots and growth over time.
