About Memory Lane Museum

Memory Lane Museum in Mooresville displays over 100 vehicles and thousands of related items across multiple themed collections. Visitors take self-guided tours through exhibits featuring classic cars, hot rods, and roadsters spanning from 1901 to present day, alongside more than 15 types of race cars including drag cars, soap derby vehicles, and NASCAR stock cars. The museum houses vehicles once driven by NASCAR stars such as Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and Rusty Wallace. Additional displays include pedal cars, antique toys, motorcycles, tractors, antique clothing, memorabilia, and trophies. Many vehicles appeared in films including Days of Thunder, Talladega Nights, and Leatherheads. Recreated service stations and garages depict different automotive eras, while exhibits showcase the development of safety features in race cars over time. The Antique Automobile Club of America honored Memory Lane as Best of 2003 for outstanding achievement in preserving automotive history. The museum charges admission, with pricing available online.
