Maggie Daley Park in Chicago features two custom-designed rock-climbing structures that form the city's first and only climbing park, located at the center of the Skating Ribbon. The climbing walls reach 40 feet high across 19,000 square feet of surface area and are divided into beginner and advanced sections offering three climbing types: bouldering, lead-harnessed, and top rope. Park staff provide instruction and supervision for climbers of all skill levels. The park also offers rollerblade and scooter rentals daily. A climbing wall orientation is required before bouldering, and a belay check is required before top rope climbing. Equipment rentals include shoes, harnesses, helmets, and chalk bags. The park accommodates 25 to 100 climbers at once and operates seasonally with weather-dependent hours. A fieldhouse with accessible power-door entry, wide hallways, and modern bathrooms serves visitors, while paved pathways throughout meet ADA accessibility requirements.
