Historic Wagner Farm is a working educational farm where visitors explore agriculture, food systems, and farm life through hands-on experiences and historic interpretation. The farm's new Centennial Farm Exhibit features interactive activities including sorting eggs, exploring livestock feed storage, climbing a silo, visiting a hay loft, and operating a corn sheller. Visitors also encounter historic tractors, original artifacts, and displays about the Wagner family and Glenview's early German settlers. The working farm demonstrates crops, gardens, livestock, and dairy operations that reflect both early twentieth-century practices and modern farming methods. Educational programs and seasonal experiences connect visitors to responsible stewardship and agriculture's evolution. The Heritage Center is open daily with grounds accessible from dawn to dusk. Historic Wagner Farm occupies 18.6 acres in Glenview, Illinois, and operates as one of the few remaining farms in north suburban Cook County, preserved by the Glenview Park District since 1998.
