Heritage Village in Largo is a 21-acre museum park where visitors explore over twenty-eight historic structures from across Pinellas County at their own pace or with expert guides. The collection spans from an 1850s log cabin, the oldest existing structure in the county, to the 1924 Gandy Tower that marked the entrance to the first bridge connecting St. Petersburg and Tampa, and includes a 1930s sponge warehouse from Tarpon Springs. Exhibits occupy two gallery spaces and historic houses throughout the grounds, with current displays including the Madeira Beach Cottage, Turner Bungalow, and McKay Creek Boat Shop, which documents boat-builder Clark Mills. The museum also features blacksmith demonstrations and a reading adventure program along historic pathways. Visitors encounter period rooms furnished from the museum's collection of over 14,000 artifacts, supported by archives containing thousands of photographs, slides, books, and postcards. The attraction suits history enthusiasts, local residents exploring family roots, and curious travelers seeking regional heritage. General admission is free.
