About Gateway's Haunted Playhouse
Gateway's Haunted Playhouse is a walkthrough haunted house attraction in Bellport where visitors navigate a three-dimensional environment populated by professionally trained actors. Each year brings a new theme, path, and cast of characters, creating a fresh experience for returning guests. The theatrical production draws on the expertise of Gateway Playhouse, Long Island's oldest professional theater, with designers and staff who craft elaborate sets and rehearse dozens of actors for each season. Over 100 staff members work each evening to operate the attraction. The venue also features Mr. Tickles 3-D Funhouse, a newer addition offering blacklight displays and optical illusions viewed through 3-D glasses. The main haunted house experience is recommended for ages 13 and older. Younger children ages 3 and up can attend the Not So Scary Adventure for Kids, held Saturday and Sunday afternoons, featuring a well-lit Halloween-themed playhouse with characters, face painting, balloons, and an inflatable pumpkin bouncer. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
