About Galindo Home Museum & Gardens

The Galindo Home Museum and Gardens in Concord preserves a Victorian ranch house built in 1856 for Don Francisco Galindo and his wife, Maria Dolores Manuela Pacheco Galindo. Originally a six-room residence, the home expanded to ten rooms when the oldest son Juan Galindo and his bride Marina Amador took up residence between 1875 and 1880. The property passed through subsequent generations before becoming the property of the Concord Historical Society in 2010. The Concord Historical Society has completely restored the Galindo Home, which now serves as the Society's museum. The restored home features period furnishings and gardens that reflect the property's 19th-century heritage. Visitors can tour the house and grounds to experience how the Galindo family lived during different eras of Concord's history. The museum operates on select Sundays each month, and group tours are available by appointment.
