About El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society
El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society occupies the historic Carnegie Library in Paso Robles, California, where visitors explore exhibits and displays celebrating local history on the main floor. Docents greet guests and answer questions about the area's past. The Research Room on the lower level holds archival photographs, documents, papers and library materials related to Paso Robles and its citizens, open to the public on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Volunteers assist with research requests at this repository. The main floor showcases rotating quarterly exhibits featuring regional history, including photographs and artifacts documenting early bathhouses, Hotel El Paso de Robles, and Camp Roberts during World War II. A gift shop on the main floor sells vintage and new items, local history books and children's educational toys and books. The society serves researchers, history enthusiasts and visitors interested in North County heritage.
