About Templeton Historical Museum Society
The Templeton Historical Museum Society preserves and exhibits the heritage of Templeton through collections housed in multiple historic buildings. Visitors explore the Main House, which features a Kitchen Exhibit displaying period furnishings and antique items, and the Blacksmith Shop, where demonstrations showcase traditional blacksmith work. The Depot building houses a restored 1933 School Bus, fire truck and equipment displays, a windmill, and a Wall of Honor. The museum maintains a research collection featuring recorded interviews with long-time community members documenting local history. The facility is operated by volunteers dedicated to collecting, preserving, and recording the area's local history and legacy. Members participate in community events and have voting rights in museum governance.
