About Jack Creek Farms

Jack Creek Farms in Templeton is a working agricultural operation where visitors pick their own olallieberries and explore a farm market featuring apple cider slushes, giant sweet onions, lavender, honey, and other farm products. The farm operates guided tastings of honey, olive oil, balsamic vinegars, and pure maple syrup, where participants sample single varietal honeys, infused syrups, and complementary California sea salt crackers while taking home raw honey straws or handmade maple candy. During pumpkin season, the farm displays over 120 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and winter squash, including heirloom culinary varieties like Musque de Provence and Rouge Vif de Etamps, along with a restored 1940 Farmall Pony tractor. Happy Acres, an old-fashioned farm-themed children's area similar to a children's museum, provides entertainment for younger visitors. The family has farmed in San Luis Obispo County for over 100 years, with pumpkin farming dating to 1957. The farm was recognized by House Beautiful Magazine as the best pumpkin patch in California.
