About Edward-Dean Museum & Gardens
The Edward-Dean Museum & Gardens showcases European and Asian decorative arts spanning the late 16th through early 20th centuries. Visitors tour the museum's historic rooms, including the Pine Room, Blue Room, Gallery, Music Room, and Asian Room, along with the Rabe Gallery. Each interior space recreates the homelike atmosphere of its period, offering a firsthand experience of historical ambiance. The 16-acre grounds feature fountains, ponds, a vine-covered arbor, and a rose garden. Founded in 1957 by Edward Eberle and Dean Stout, the museum was originally their private collection before being donated to Riverside County in 1964. The museum preserves fine arts and historical artifacts while providing cultural and educational enrichment to the community. The scenic setting in Cherry Valley suits visitors interested in art history and natural surroundings.
