About Dia Beacon
Dia Beacon is an art museum housed in a former Nabisco box-printing factory in Beacon, New York. Visitors explore Dia's collection of contemporary and modern art spanning the 1960s to the present, along with rotating special exhibitions. The Riggio Galleries feature large-scale installations and artworks displayed throughout the industrial warehouse space. Guided tours run on Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 1:30 pm, led by practicing artists and educators who invite visitors to engage actively with pieces like Michael Heizer's North, East, South, West and Lawrence Weiner's CADMIUM & MUD & TITANIUM & LEAD & FERROUS OXIDE & SO ON. School groups and college visitors can arrange private tours customized to their interests. The museum operates Friday through Monday and offers public programs beyond exhibitions. Families with children of various ages, adult visitors, and educational groups find tours and visits suited to their needs, with advance reservations suggested.
