About Daly City History Museum

The Daly City History Guild Museum & Archive preserves local community history through exhibitions, lectures, and events highlighting the area's past. Visitors explore "A Walk Through Time" exhibition featuring historical photographs and artifacts, including images of the Vista Grande Meat Market, John Daly, the Volunteer Fire Department parade wagon, and early 1900s boxing audiences from the Chandler Collection. The museum operates a gift shop stocked with books on local history and other items. Researchers and history enthusiasts can arrange access to the museum's archives, which accept old photographs and artifacts of historical significance to Daly City. The all-volunteer nonprofit museum, staffed by volunteers, welcomes individual visitors as well as school groups and other organized tours by special arrangement with advance notice.
