About Curtiss Mansion

Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs preserves the home of Glenn Hammond Curtiss, the aviation pioneer and inventor who founded the city. Visitors tour the restored historic house, designated a site on the National Register of Historic Places, and explore exhibits about Curtiss's aviation legacy and contributions to American innovation. The Mansion hosts fine and performing arts presentations, lectures, films, and classes centered on aviation history and the lives of American inventors. The property includes gardens and functions as an interactive educational center with adaptive interior design and full ADA accessibility. The venue accommodates ceremonies, receptions, dinners, dancing, and cocktail areas for life celebrations. Youth activities and community events occur throughout the year. The restored Mansion reopened to the public in 2012 following extensive rehabilitation efforts. Located in Miami Springs, the property also serves as a trailhead on the City Bicycle Path.
