Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park preserves the site of a California town founded, financed and governed by African Americans. Visitors explore restored and reconstructed buildings throughout the park and visit the Visitor Center, open Sunday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. The park itself is open Sunday through Saturday from 9am to 4pm, with scheduled special events held throughout the year. Dogs are welcome on visits. The park offers day use and camping accommodations, with trailers up to 35 feet and motorhomes up to 45 feet permitted. Fourth grade students and their families receive free entry through the California State Parks Free Fourth Grade Pass. Seniors aged 62 and older receive free day use entry and $2 off per night for camping. Visitors with a State Parks Disabled Discount Pass receive free day use entry and 50% off camping fees per night. The park is located near Earlimart, California.
