Century House Historical Society & Snyder Estate is a museum and historic property in Rosendale, New York, centered on the industrial history of the Rosendale Cement District. Visitors walk the grounds and explore the Widow Jane Mine, a historic mining site available for self-guided tours when not in use for events. The museum building and adjacent Carriage House, open Sundays, display a large collection of horse carriages and sleighs assembled by the last owner of Century Cement Manufacturing Company, A.J. Snyder II. Self-guided tour brochures available at the entrance kiosk explain the history of the cement district, the mine, and the estate itself. The Society hosts benefit performances in the Widow Jane Mine, site-specific outdoor sculpture exhibitions, and site-wide festivals throughout the year. The grounds remain open daily for walking and touring. Small groups can arrange museum and Carriage House visits by contacting the Society directly.
