About California Trolley & Railroad

California Trolley & Railroad Corporation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the historical heritage of railroading and trolleys in the Santa Clara Valley. Visitors can view the organization's collection of historic vehicles on display. The centerpiece is the SP 2479, a 1923 Baldwin P-10 Pacific locomotive currently undergoing restoration, which visitors can observe at the site. The collection also includes the Little Buttercup, an 1899 vintage locomotive that previously spent time on San Francisco docks and at the California Railroad Museum in Sacramento. Other vehicles in the collection feature a 1927 Kleiber truck, formerly owned by the Western States Oil Company and used for oil delivery, a 1921 Port Huron Traction Engine, a 1916 Detroit Electric Touring Car, trolley cars, and equipment housed at the Lenzen Roundhouse.
