Bartow History Museum occupies the refurbished 1869 Courthouse building in historic downtown Cartersville, where visitors explore over 200 years of Bartow County history through artifacts, photographs, documents, and interactive exhibits spanning Cherokee habitation to contemporary events. The museum offers educational programs for adults, children, families, and school groups including camps, homeschool activities, field trips, lunch-and-learns, evening lectures, and workshops. A research library with archives, genealogy records, oral history interviews, and rare books is available for exploration. The museum charges admission with tickets sold online on its site. Active military personnel receive free admission. Immediate family members of active military get half-price admission with proper credentials. Children age 5 and under enter free.
