About Witte Museum

The Witte Museum in San Antonio is a natural history and culture museum where visitors explore permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions. The Naylor Family Dinosaur Gallery invites guests to travel millions of years into the past and discover amazing animals from the Cretaceous Period, more than 110 million years ago. The McLean Family Wild Gallery immerses visitors in dramatic environments with more than 150 animals on display. The museum also features rotating exhibitions such as Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs, exploring the first vertebrates to achieve powered flight. Visitors can reserve tickets online for general admission. Bexar County residents receive free general admission every Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. Individuals and families receiving SNAP and WIC benefits pay three dollars for general admission and receive 50 percent off special exhibition tickets, verified at wittemuseum.org.
