About Wilmington Water Tours

Wilmington Water Tours operates narrated cruises on the Cape Fear River departing from Historic Downtown Wilmington. Passengers board the Wilmington, a state-of-the-art enclosed catamaran that accommodates up to 49 people and features flexible seating, a full bar, and accessible restrooms. The company offers daily cruises along with specialty excursions. A birding cruise led by an expert guide includes three additional bird guides and binoculars aboard to help visitors identify species inhabiting the river. The black water adventure cruise travels up the Northeast Cape Fear River to the upper reaches of the black water system, passing the Castle Hayne Aquifer and the bluffs of the Rose Hill Plantation. Captains share extensive knowledge of the area's history, wildlife, and ecology. The company also operates the Bizzy Bee Water Taxi, which transports passengers from three stops on the Wilmington side to the USS North Carolina Battleship. Tickets are sold online through the attraction's website.
