About Wildlife Learning Center

Wildlife Learning Center is a zoological park in Sylmar where visitors stroll landscaped paths to view more than 100 displaced, rescued, and zoo-born wild animals from around the world. The facility was founded to provide public education in life sciences, conservation, and environmental stewardship. General admission allows visitors to observe the animals throughout the grounds. Individual animal experiences lasting 10 to 15 minutes offer closer encounters, including a Sloth Social where visitors enter the sloth enclosure, Porcupine Dining Time where guests feed North American porcupines, Snake Soiree featuring an 8-foot Red-tailed Boa, Armfulla-dillo for touching an armadillo's protective armor, and Tortoise Time in the tortoise pen. Private interactive tours led by biologists last 90 minutes and include meeting a sloth, touching a reptile, feeding a porcupine, and meeting a tortoise. The center is located in an old olive grove setting in San Fernando Valley, providing a shaded natural environment for both the animals and visitors.
