West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center / Tina Turner Museum houses the world's only Tina Turner Museum inside her childhood school, Flagg Grove School, along with more than 8,000 square feet of exhibitions dedicated to West Tennessee music, cotton, and the Scenic Hatchie River. Visitors tour the last home of blues pioneer "Sleepy" John Estes and explore displays of Tina Turner's costumes, gold records and memorabilia. The center features a West Tennessee Cotton Museum, freshwater aquariums, and a gift shop with handmade regional items. Self-guided tours are free and require no reservation; guided tours are available for individuals and groups at published admission prices. Guided school tours are available at no charge or a discounted rate depending on preferences and location, including a group picture at either historic building. The facility sits off Interstate 40 between Memphis and Nashville in historic Brownsville, offering clean restrooms, free WiFi and staff assistance with area information.
