About Halls Veterans' Museum
Halls Veterans' Museum honors the history of the Dyersburg Army Air Base, a B-17 Flying Fortress combat aircrew training school during World War II. Visitors explore exhibits about daily life on the base, including barracks, training details, and missions assigned to the approximately 7,700 B-17 crewmen who trained here before deployment. Higdon Hall displays World War II vehicles, a Holocaust exhibit, and Purple Heart memorabilia. The museum features veteran displays covering every post-WWII conflict and war, honoring service members across all major military engagements. Docents conduct tours through hangars and grounds that engage visitors with the base's lasting impact on surrounding communities. The museum welcomes group visits and is located in Halls, Tennessee.
