About Veterans Park

Veterans Park spans 17 acres along Buck Creek in downtown Springfield and combines outdoor recreation, arts programming and natural scenery. The park centers on an outdoor amphitheater that hosts the Springfield Summer Arts Festival and sits adjacent to the Springfield Museum of Art. Visitors can boulder on limestone cliffs on the park's north side, play in white water areas, and explore the Buck Creek Scenic Trail. The playground features a Cinderella pumpkin carriage ride and connects to National Trail's network of playgrounds throughout Clark County. The Springfield Bouldering Park within Veterans Park offers easy access, ample parking and restroom facilities. Families can also fish, paddle and kayak in designated white water play areas along Buck Creek, or try geocaching using GPS-enabled devices to hunt for hidden containers throughout the park.
