About Ohio Caverns

Ohio Caverns near West Liberty is Ohio's largest cavern, where visitors take guided underground tours through distinctive rock formations. The Natural Wonder Tour covers a one-mile walk through passages discovered after 1897, featuring The Crystal King, Ohio's largest stalactite, alongside colorful mineral formations. The Historic Tour begins at the original discovery site and explores areas first accessed in the early 1900s. A Combo Tour lets visitors experience both routes with a break between them. During winter months, a hybrid Winter Tour showcases highlights from both sections. A Limestone Tour serves visitors with limited mobility by reservation. Above ground, a thirty-five-acre park surrounds the caverns with picnic areas, shelters, and a playground. Tours last approximately fifty minutes. Tickets are sold online through the caverns' website, and group rates are available for larger parties.
