About Toledo History Museum

The Toledo History Museum preserves and exhibits artifacts that tell the story of Toledo's past, from its industrial manufacturing heritage to social and cultural history. Visitors explore exhibits about Toledo's role as a major automobile manufacturing hub in the early twentieth century, including the Auto-Lite strike of 1934. The museum displays items made in Toledo that changed American lifestyles, features a collection of historical postcards showing the city from 1906 onward, and presents curiosities like the story of a filmmaker's connection to the Titanic and mysteries of downtown's hidden tunnels. The museum also hosts lively presentations investigating local legends and lesser-known historical details. General admission is free.
