About The Western North Carolina Sculpture Center Inc
The Western North Carolina Sculpture Center in Lenoir showcases one hundred sculptures displayed across a twelve-acre sculpture park and trail in the Yadkin River Valley. General admission is free, and the park opens daily from dawn until dusk for public visitors. The center hosts blacksmithing workshops where participants learn hands-on metalworking techniques directly from working artists. Beyond the sculpture park, the facility offers artist residencies, internships, and community workshops throughout the year that demonstrate a range of sculptural processes, from traditional techniques to contemporary practices. The center also presents a series of events featuring various sculptural creation methods. Dogs on leashes are welcome to explore the grounds. Educational programming serves students in grades kindergarten through twelve, enriching their understanding of sculpture and creative perspectives through direct visitor participation and engagement with the artists themselves.
