About Sugar Hill Museum & Art Gallery

Sugar Hill Museum & Art Gallery combines two complementary spaces in Sugar Hill, Georgia. The City Art Gallery showcases classic and contemporary art in a bright, airy setting featuring changeable exhibitions and traveling works from local and non-local artists. The adjoining History Museum displays a large collection of photographs, documents, and memorabilia highlighting Sugar Hill's past. Exhibits cover the community's churches, schools, volunteer fire department, gold mining and moonshining history, and involvement in Lake Lanier's creation. Both the gallery and museum are located in The Local on West Broad Street, across from The Eagle Theatre. General admission is free and open to the public. The spaces are staffed by volunteers from the Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society and the Sugar Hill Arts Commission, ensuring dedicated curation of local heritage and artistic programming.
