About Stately Oaks
Stately Oaks Historic Community preserves a Greek Revival house built in 1839 on the National Register of Historic Places, where visitors tour the main residence and walk through original outbuildings including an 1839 Outdoor Log Kitchen, Old Bethel School—the last one-room schoolhouse in Clayton County—a tenant house, blacksmith building, well house, and Juddy's Country Store. Guided house-and-grounds tours begin on the hour with the last tour at 3 p.m., or visitors can choose self-guided grounds-only tours of the outbuildings and surrounding landscape. The museum accommodates group tours scheduled in advance, with evening and dinner tour options available. Located in Jonesboro, Georgia, Stately Oaks opens to the public Fridays from noon to 4 p.m., with tickets sold online through historicaljonesboroga.org. Children aged 5 and under are admitted free with paid adult tickets for the house and grounds tour, according to verified pricing on the venue's site.
