About Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area
Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, formed by Cedar Springs Dam in the San Bernardino National Forest, offers hiking trails, swimming beaches, and designated areas for boating, waterskiing, and fishing with views of snow-capped mountain peaks. The park features a Nature Center open Friday through Sunday, campgrounds where dogs are permitted, and picnic areas. Visitors can boat on the reservoir, which sits at the highest elevation in the State Water Project, and access multiple trails throughout the recreation area. The park lies in Hesperia, California, off Highway 138 and Cleghorn Road. Disabled Discount Pass holders receive half price for day use and camping.
