About Sherman Ex-Students Association Museum

The Sherman Ex-Students Association Museum preserves the cultural and literary histories of Sherman and Fred Douglass high schools through exhibits of yearbooks called Athenians, photographs, awards, plaques, Hi Talks, letter sweaters, and jackets spanning decades of graduation classes. Visitors take a walk through memory lane viewing these collections from just about every class year. The museum is housed in the former Dillingham Middle School Building and operates on Wednesdays and Fridays. Museum Director James Perry offers tours and can arrange special visits by request. The nonprofit association, founded in 1993 by Coach Henry Sory and other local leaders, actively accepts donations of Sherman High School and Fred Douglass High School memorabilia from the community. The organization supports current Sherman students through scholarships and involvement while welcoming graduates, former students, and associate members interested in the schools' histories. The Sherman Ex-Students Association is located in Sherman, Texas.
