Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site preserves the modest frame house where the 34th U.S. President Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower was born in 1890. The home's rooms feature period antique furnishings reflecting the working-class life of the Eisenhower family, including the bedroom, dining room, and kitchen with its vintage stove. Visitors view Eisenhower's crib and rocking chair on display throughout the house. A visitor center showcases memorabilia and exhibits documenting his presidency and military accomplishments. The grounds include a statue of Eisenhower in the garden and a restored general store. Facilitated tours run hourly, and school field trips are available. Your ticket receipt provides complementary admission to the Sam Rayburn House within one week.
