About Sharkarosa Zoo

Sharkarosa Zoo sits on a 126-acre ranch in Pilot Point and offers visitors a self-guided tour of over 180 animals with educational presentations every 30 minutes throughout the day. The walk-thru petting zoo lets guests interact with animals hands-on, while covered picnic areas and a snack bar support all-day visits. The facility hosts field trips and private tours for groups, plus special events including a World Lemur Festival and annual Homeschool Day with STEM stations and keeper chats. A splash pad provides additional recreation. The zoo operates Friday through Sunday. Children under 2 are admitted free. Military and first responders receive free admission. On the first Friday of each month, buy an adult ticket and get a child ticket free; the second Friday offers a free senior ticket with a senior purchase; the third Friday provides a free adult ticket with an adult purchase; and the fourth Friday admits a randomly selected city's residents free with one paid admission.
