Cameron Park Zoo offers Penguin Encounters and Animal Presentations alongside traditional zoo exploration in Waco. Visitors walk through exhibits at their own pace or use the free Senior Safari Shuttle, available Thursday through Saturday mornings, to navigate the main loop with reduced mobility demands. The zoo runs programs including Zoo Camp, Spring Break Camp, Story Time, and Behind the Scenes Tours. Birthday parties and daytime or evening events can be hosted on the grounds. A Sensory Room inside the Ascension Providence Nursing Pods provides a quiet space with a bubble tube and tactile fidget wall, while free sensory kits including noise-reducing headphones and fidget tools are available at the Gift Shop. The zoo is fully accessible with wheelchair and scooter rentals. On BFF Mondays, when one guest purchases a full-price ticket, up to two additional tickets are discounted fifty percent off, provided all guests enter simultaneously.
