About Sequoia Park Zoo

Sequoia Park Zoo is the oldest zoo in California, situated next to old-growth redwoods of Sequoia Park in Eureka, where visitors explore one of the country's smallest accredited zoos. The zoo features the Nancy Hilfiker Aviary, a Barnyard area, and viewing spots for Chacoan peccaries among its collection of rare and endangered species. Seasonal events like Boo at the Zoo and Zoo Lights draw families and students year after year. Educational programs including Zoo Explorers provide learning opportunities for young students. The zoo also operates the Redwood Sky Walk adjacent to its grounds. Tickets are sold online through redwoodzoo.org, and the zoo publishes admission prices on its website. Members of participating zoos and aquariums receive 50% off admission through the AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program, according to redwoodzoo.org.
