About Organic Matters Ranch

Organic Matters Ranch operates a U-pick pumpkin patch on more than 11 acres in Eureka, California, where visitors select from over 50 varieties of pumpkins and winter squash for carving or eating. The ranch grows Jack-O'-lantern pumpkins in various sizes and shapes, along with specialty and winter squash varieties in different colors and textures. Free admission allows guests to explore the grounds at their own pace, with carts and ample parking available. School groups can schedule field trips that include access to the pumpkin patch, a hay playground, a sunflower maze spanning two acres, a hay maze, and a hay pyramid. The Falloween Fair features two weekends of fall activities with more than 30 local vendors selling crafts, art, food and beverages, along with master pumpkin carvers, face painters, and a petting zoo. The ranch welcomes all visitors with an open heart and respect for the land, though service animals are the only dogs permitted on the property.
