About Second Sky

Second Sky in Tucson is a community hub combining an adventure playground, interactive exhibits, and event space. Visitors spend one to two hours exploring indoor and outdoor installations where they touch, build, experiment, and discover. The rolling ball machine, watercolor wall, moving mirror, and constellations globe invite hands-on play. A magnetic wall track lets visitors build pipe systems and watch balls roll through by gravity. The geometric climber provides climbing exploration, while the tennis ball cannon launches balls up to two hundred feet. A scooters area covers long concrete floors, and the scraps patio offers cardboard and wood for building projects. Family board games, marvelous marbles, and reading areas complete the open play activities. Second Sky also hosts rotating STEAM classes and creative workshops developed with local educators. The venue accommodates private events and community programs during evenings and weekends. It is located in central Tucson near Alvernon and Irvington, accessible within ten to twenty minutes from most of the city.
