About Valley of the Moon

Valley of the Moon is an enchanted historic fairyland in Tucson where visitors experience theatrical performances, docent-led tours, and hands-on discovery activities. Artist George Phar Legler created this storybook environment between 1923 and 1932 to promote kindness and imagination. The venue hosts theatrical productions featuring fantasy adventures, including plays with American Sign Language interpretation available. Visitors can participate in guided tours of the artist-designed landscape or join discovery tours with interactive elements. The attraction operates through scheduled public events and private access arrangements. Valley of the Moon welcomes all visitors and celebrates inclusion, having maintained its founding mission of fostering tolerance and brotherly love for over one hundred years.
