The Rankin Museum of American Heritage in Ellerbe features three main exhibit areas spanning 4,900 square feet: Natural History, Local History, and Native American culture. The museum was founded on the lifetime collections of Dr. Pressley R. Rankin, Jr., MD. Visitors explore artifacts including Native American pottery and art alongside taxidermy specimens from various countries and local historical finds.
