About 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum

The 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum in Fort Liberty preserves over 100 years of history of the U.S. Army's elite All-American division from 1917 to the present. Visitors explore interactive exhibits featuring the division's operations across major conflicts including World War II, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, and the Gulf War. The museum includes a theater that seats sixty-four people and screens "Being an All-American," a film exploring what it means to serve as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. The facility houses galleries with ceremonies, memorials, and airparks, along with exhibits on Airborne Valor and Medal of Honor recipients. A digital gallery called "A Hero's Welcome" provides additional historical content. The museum serves paratroopers in official training programs, including the Airborne Integration Course and battlefield tours of Normandy and Holland. Military families and local civilians can visit the exhibits. General admission is free. The museum operates Tuesday through Saturday with hours published on its website.
