The Postal History Foundation in Tucson is a museum and library dedicated to stamp collecting and postal history. Visitors explore turn-of-the-century postal equipment and furnishings housed in the restored Naco post office front, along with paintings depicting the dangers of mail delivery in the Arizona Territory. The Slusser Library holds over 30,000 titles on stamp collecting and postal history, plus hundreds of boxes of archival research material. Rotating exhibits throughout the year feature commemorative events and stamp issuances. The foundation operates a contract post office—the only philatelic sales facility in Arizona—where visitors can purchase U.S. and worldwide stamps, covers, postcards, and collecting supplies. Guided tours provide behind-the-scenes views of volunteers processing thousands of postage stamps. The Stamp Discovery Education Program supports educators, students, and scouts through free or nominally-priced services. General admission is free. The location serves collectors, researchers, educators, and families interested in postal history and philately.
