Pacific Coast Skydiving operates tandem skydiving experiences from Brown Field Airport in San Diego, California. Visitors begin with a scenic flight over the Pacific Ocean, Downtown San Diego, Imperial Beach, and Coronado Island, with views extending toward Mexico before the jump. The experience involves a 120 mph free fall followed by a parachute descent with continued views of San Diego and the ocean. Participants must be at least 18 years old and weigh no more than 230 pounds. The typical visit lasts a couple of hours, starting with arrival 30 minutes early to complete a waiver, then gearing up with instructor assistance. The instructor guides participants through boarding the plane, and at the door opening, a countdown precedes the jump. After free fall, the parachute descent provides a serene portion of the experience. Instructors on staff hold USPA certification and have completed over 100,000 tandem jumps collectively. The facility accommodates various occasions, from birthdays to team-building events, with no prior skydiving experience required.
