About Ohio Valley Museum Of Discovery
The Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery in Athens, Ohio is a hands-on discovery museum where visitors of all ages explore STEAM exhibits and participate in interactive learning activities. The museum's exhibit hall features displays designed for playful, exploratory engagement with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math concepts. Visitors can attend themed field trips on designated days, join 90-minute group visits, or host birthday parties in the facility's party room and exhibit spaces. The museum also offers the Teen Science Café, a nationally recognized program run by and for teens that brings participants together with STEAM professionals from the community in small group settings. Educational programming extends across more than seven counties in southeast Ohio's Appalachian foothills. The museum operates on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule with varying hours. A community classroom and exhibit hall spaces accommodate different types of group experiences and special events.
