Visitors hike scenic trails throughout the park and explore the historical legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps at museum exhibits and structures. The park centers on Norris Lake, where pristine waters offer opportunities for fishing, boating, and swimming along the shoreline. The lake area features steep drop-offs near the shore, so swimmers should exercise caution and consider wearing a life jacket. Hikers can access trails from various points in the park, including the Woodland Trail and other routes, though some trailheads may be temporarily closed due to construction. The park offers picnic areas and a playground for visitors. All Rangers are EMR or EMT certified and can assist with emergencies.
