Next Picture Show is a fine arts center in Dixon, Illinois, housed in a restored 1854 building featuring original wood floors and tin ceilings. Visitors explore rotating art exhibitions on the main gallery level, ranging from shows like Farms & Barns to On The Prairie, and can attend opening receptions to meet exhibiting artists. The center presents small live concerts and musical events throughout the year. The lower level provides additional exhibition space alongside art classes and workshops in various media. Beyond exhibitions, Next Picture Show hosts regular community programs including Chapter and Verse Writers Group meetings held twice monthly, and Dixon Poetry Night. The venue also operates as a rental gallery for private events. The organization serves artists and patrons of all backgrounds, functioning as a nonprofit dedicated to fostering the arts within the community through education, classes, and live performance opportunities.
