The Museum of Technology at Middle Georgia State University in Macon showcases the evolution of computing through interactive exhibits and hands-on exploration. Visitors examine twelve display cases filled with historical artifacts including early computers, gaming consoles, vintage software, and computing magazines. The museum features over ten fully functional vintage computers and gaming consoles that guests can experience firsthand, stepping back into the dawn of the digital age. Displays include specific devices such as Timex Sinclair computers, old Macintosh systems with original peripherals, various motherboards and chips, and Windows XP Professional software. Visitors can interact with vintage computer keyboards and explore the ingenuity behind technological innovation. Student-led presentations and initiatives throughout the museum create opportunities to learn how technology has shaped society. The collection, which began in 2018 with a single display case, has grown into a comprehensive resource for understanding computing history. Located in the Macon campus library, the museum welcomes students, educators, and community members interested in technology's past.
