Monroe's Orchard in Hiram is a working farm where visitors pick their own apples directly from the trees on Saturdays and Sundays. The farm market sells HoneyCrisp, Golden Supreme, McIntosh and Cortland apples, along with Bartlett pears, local vegetables and local honey. The orchard also produces maple syrup each spring, and visitors may see steam rising from the sugarhouse during the syrup-making season. The farm hosts Apple Harvest Festivals featuring family activities. Monroe's Orchard operates as a fourth-generation family farm, with approximately 25 apple varieties, six peach varieties, and seasonal crops including strawberries and cherries. The operation began when Herbert Warner purchased the property and planted apple trees, later joined by the Monroe family's maple syrup expertise. A visit suits families interested in picking fruit and purchasing fresh farm products directly from the source.
