About Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park

Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park preserves sites central to the civil rights movement in Atlanta, Georgia. Visitors tour the Martin Luther King Jr. Birth Home, where rangers lead groups of up to fifteen people through hourly presentations about his early life. The park features Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King co-pastored and was baptized, accessible through ranger-guided tours that explore the church's significance. The World Peace Rose Garden honors King's legacy with plantings and reflection spaces. A temporary visitor center displays park exhibits documenting the movement's history. The newly developed SCLC Office Tour at the Prince Hall Masonic Temple adds another dimension to the historical narrative. All ranger-led activities remain free and open to the public. Seasonal programming includes the Kid's Zone Beloved Community Expo, offering crafts, games, and activities for children. Food trucks operate on Saturdays, providing meals during visits. General admission is free.
