Marine Environmental Education Center (MEEC) at the Carpenter House in Hollywood offers visitors direct encounters with sea turtle conservation. The center features two resident sea turtles: Captain, a green sea turtle, and Cane, a loggerhead sea turtle, housed in saltwater habitats where guests can observe them daily. Interactive exhibits explore marine biology and ecology throughout indoor and outdoor spaces. Daily public programs incorporate marine artifacts and microscopes, allowing visitors to examine specimens and learn about ocean life. Sea turtle feedings occur at scheduled times each day. The center's location at Hollywood North Beach Park provides access to coastal views and wildlife viewing opportunities along the shoreline.
